How will the winner be selected?
Our hackathons have two different types of winners. Challenge winners are selected by each challenge partner independently, following their own criteria.
The top 10 projects are selected through peer reviewing and the Gavel judging system. The top 10 teams will pitch their projects during the closing ceremony, after that, participants can vote on their favourite. That's how the main winner is selected!
When and where does the event take place?
Junction 2022 takes place November 4.-6. in Dipoli, Espoo. The venue is easily reachable using public transportation!
I am not a coder, can I still join?
Although knowing how to code is a plus, it's not mandatory. Design and business skills are useful additions for a balanced team.
What are the requirements for submissions?
Glad you asked! First of all, all code outside of open source libraries must be written during the event. You must submit a link to your source! If you use any code written specifically for this idea in advance, or work on a new project that is somehow related to an already existing company, you will be disqualified. The final submission must contain a 2 minute long (and not a single second longer) video pitch of the final project.
Who has ownership of the content created in Junction?
The work done by the participants is owned solely by the participants and their teams.
